Omiros Filippatos

From a small village in Kefalonia, Greece

Omiros came to Astoria, NY to build a new life. He found his true love in his wife, Dimitra. They soon moved to Valley Stream to raise their three daughters. A true gentleman, he was loved by everyone who was privileged to know him. With his warm smile and kind words, he will be unforgettable.

He leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Dimitra Filippatos, his children, Maria and Angelo Mourelatos, Phyllis and James Lainiotis, and Paula and Frank Pollaro, his grandchildren, Demi Mourelatos, Irene ,Demi, and Theodore Lainiotis, Isabella and Sophia Pollaro. His memory lives on with them and Dimitra's family, the Tsougas's.

He is awaited with loving arms by his parents, Panaghi and Maria Filippatos, Androniki Filippatos, Yianni and Filio Tsougas, and Christopher Mourelatos.
