Patrick Tripp, born Patrick Anthony Tripp passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025. Pat, as he was known by his friends and loved ones was born in the fall of 1938 in Washington, North Carolina born to Mary McCrann and Frank Tripp. Pat grew up in Queens NY with his three brothers Joseph, Peter and Frank and two sisters Katie and Nancy.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 59 years, Geraldine and three adult children, James, Colleen and JP and grandchildren Liam, Avery and Taylor as well as extended loved ones including spouses, dear aunts & uncles, cousins, their spouses, and their families.
Known throughout his life as a hard worker, Pat enlisted in the Army in 1959 before transferring into the US Army Reserves to attend business school. He graduated top of his class from Barnard Baruch School of Business while receiving an honorable discharge at the rank of Staff Sergeant. Shortly thereafter he landed a position at Chemical Bank that would shape the rest of his and his immediate families lives.
Married in 1966, Pat and Geri traveled the world many times over as his work in International Banking took the family to Europe, Africa and beyond finally settling in Pelham NY.
In Pelham, Pat and Geri strengthened their faith at St. Catherines Church while he became an active member of the choir as well as other town business affairs such as the Rotary Club. He once said his favorite role in banking, above traveling the world, was being at the local branch in Pelham. Other passions Pat was known for include gardening, landscaping, auto repair, swimming, and golf.
He will be missed dearly.
