Paul Wallace Jervis Jr.

Paul Wallace Jervis Jr. of Oceanside, died suddenly on July 23rd, 2026. After a long career in banking, he was most recently a loan officer at Finance of America. He graduated from Connetquot High School, Class of 1984, and received his bachelor’s degree from Wheeling College in Wheeling, West Virginia, in 1988. Paul had a passion for barbecue, whether it be grilling, smoking, or preparing a seafood boil. He also had a lifelong love of history. His life’s greatest pride was his three beautiful children, into whom he poured every ounce of his love and devotion over the past 31 years. Everyone will remember his love of entertaining, his sharp sarcasm, and his hearty laugh. He was a leader in life and at work, and he believed strongly in giving back to the community through organizations including the Lions Club, the Rotary Club, and Little League Baseball. He was a devoted fan of the Mets, Capitals, Knicks, Giants, and SEC football at the University of Alabama. Above all else, he loved cheering on his own children in athletics, music, academics, and later in their careers. He is survived by his beloved wife, Randi, daughters Victoria and Gabrielle, son Parker, his loving mother, Jean Jervis, sister Donna Werner, brother-in-law Chris, and niece Helen. He is also survived by the McGloin family, sister-in-law Lauren, brother-in-law Tim, nieces Meri and Danielle, and nephew Ryan; and by the Peterson family, sister-in-law Tracy Peterson, mother-in-law Irene Peterson, and brother-in-law David Brinkerhoff. Loved by too many to count, Paul’s kindness, generosity, and devotion to his family and friends will be remembered always.
