Ralph T. Keefe

Ralph T. Keefe of Oceanside passed away peacefully on Monday, July 29, 2019 at the age of 96.

Beloved husband of Joan (Doerfinger) for 75 years. Devoted father of Nancy Whalen and Michael (predeceased). Loving grandfather of Michael Keefe, David O’Neil, Patrick Keefe and Ian Whalen. Devoted great grandfather of Brett, Dylan, Christopher, Justine, Theo and Avi.

Ralph worked as a commercial artist in his studio, Keefe Studio. He was a very talented artist, painting landscapes and especially portraits. He also designed and made silver jewelry and did woodworking. He loved NYC, the arts, ballet and theatre. He was fortunate to be able to travel extensively and especially loved London and Paris. He was proud of his service in the Air Force in WWII and the Korean War.

Ralph was a kind, gentle and loving person. He treasured his family, faith, friends and work. He had a wonderful life and was loved by many.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:45 am on Saturday, August 3rd at St Anthony's RC Church, 110 Anchor Ave, Oceanside, NY. Burial will be in Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury on Saturday, August 3rd at 11:30 am.

Calling hours will be Friday, August 2nd from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Towers Funeral Home Inc., 2681 Long Beach Rd, Oceanside, NY.
