Richard J Cantwell

Richard John Cantwell was born in Brooklyn, New York October 4, 1912 and passed away November 25, 2013. Richard grew up in Rockville Centre. He graduated from St. Agnes High School and attended St. John's University. He moved to Oceanside in 1938, where he remained for the rest of his life. His wife Monica, of 62 years passed away in 1997. He leaves behind his children, Margaret (Cantwell) Austin, Richard J. Cantwell and Francis P. Cantwell, twelve grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Richard retired from Borden's Milk Company and had a second career with NY State as a Tax Investigator. Richard has been a very active parishioner of St. Anthony's for 75 years.

Visitation hours will be on Monday, December 2nd from 2 PM - 4 PM and 7 PM - 9 PM at Towers Funeral Home on Long Beach Road in Oceanside. Mass will be held on December 3rd at 9:45 AM at St. Anthony's Parish in Oceanside.
