Richard Paul Rider Iii

Our dear Richard (RJ) Paul Rider III sadly passed away on Wednesday, June 26th, 2024 in New York. He was 38 years old. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, partner and friend. He rode into paradise and was met by his cherished pets, Charlee and Trixi.

RJ was born on October 17, 1985 and is survived by his dear parents, Richard Paul Rider Jr. and Donna Marie Rider (nee DeAngelis); his siblings Kayleen (Michael Ngernnak) Rider and John (Katelyn Koch) Rider; his Grandmother Eileen DeAngelis (nee Clohessy). He will be deeply missed by his girlfriend, LeeAnn Maurer.

Richard was preceded in death by his Grandfathers Richard Paul Rider Sr. & Francis “Bubby” DeAngelis; his Great Grandmother Eleanor “GiGi” Mitchell; his Grandmother Angelina “Nikki” Rider (nee D’Alessandro); his Uncles Joseph Rider and Richard “Richie” DeAngelis. His family and many beloved friends received RJ into their loving embrace.

RJ will be missed for his caring heart, unique wit and most significantly for his insatiable and contagious spirit for adventure. He lived life at 100mph and was good at anything he set his mind to – it would take 100 lifetimes to forget him and we will set our minds to remembering all the laughs, adventures and love shared.

A memorial visitation will be Friday, July 12th from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9PM at Towers Funeral Home Inc., 2681 Long Beach Rd, Oceanside, NY.  A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:45am on Saturday, July 13th at St Anthony's RC Church, 110 Anchor Ave, Oceanside, NY.
