Robert J. Chimenti

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert J. Chimenti, of Merrick, NY, who left us on Monday, August 17th, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on Tuesday, August 5th, 1958, Robert brought immense joy and love to all those who knew him throughout his life.

Robert will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Kathy, and his children: Robert Roland, Kaitlin, Matthew and his wife Lexi, and Christopher. He was a devoted grandfather to his cherished grandchildren, Liam and Carson. Robert also leaves behind his five siblings: Joanne, Kathie, Alfred, Joseph, and Pamela. He was a dear uncle to his nieces and nephew and will be remembered fondly by his faithful dog Wilma.

Preceded in death by his loving parents, Violet and Joseph, Robert was a dedicated family man whose greatest joy came from the moments spent with those closest to him. He was an accomplished electrician whose skills and dedication to his craft made him a master in the field. In his younger years, Robert enjoyed the thrill of motorcycling, and throughout his life, he found peace and happiness by the shore, making countless memories at the beach.

The family will receive relatives and friends for visitation at Towers Funeral Home, Inc. in Oceanside, NY on Thursday, August 20th, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home that evening at 6:30 pm.

A Funeral Mass to honor and celebrate Robert's life will take place at The Parish Family Of Curé of Ars in Merrick, NY, on Friday, August 21st, 2026, at 12:00 pm.
