Robert E. Mackoul

Robert E. Mackoul passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 19th, 2023 at the age of 76. He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah K. Mackoul as well as their 5 children, Robert G. Mackoul, Edward J. Mackoul, Jared A. Mackoul, Lacey L. Colucci and Erica R. Mackoul. He is also survived by his 7 beloved grandchildren, Steven Mackoul, Kevin Mackoul, Nicholas Mackoul, Logan Mackoul, Kirsten Mackoul, Layla Colucci and Brody Colucci.

Robert was born in Brooklyn, NY to Edward and Margaret Mackoul. He was a decorated combat veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1969 on the "U" Boat division in Vietnam. Robert also had a prolific 55 year career in insurance, building three national agencies: Mackoul & Associates, New Empire Group and The Mackoul Group of Florida. Despite his professional accolades, his greatest achievement was being a devoted husband, father, friend and grandfather. His optimism was contagious and his commitment to helping others was the cornerstone of every aspect of his life. His memory will live on through the work he did for St. Mary's Orthodox Church in Bay Ridge Brooklyn, the charitable organizations he supported, and all those he coached, mentored and raised.

The wake will be held on Friday, November 24th at Towers Funeral Home in Oceanside, NY. The funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Orthodox Church in Brooklyn, NY on Saturday, November 25th.
