Santo Charles LoBalbo, age 98, of Oceanside, NY died Saturday, June 4, 2016 at his home. He was born November 1, 1917 in New York, NY, the son of Anthony and Teresa (Lando) LoBalbo. He served in the Army during World War II from 1941 to 1945. He was employed by Daily News in New York City as a Photo Engraver and as a hobby he repaired any kind of watch. He is the beloved husband of Mary (McKenna) and the loving father of Susan Cesaro ( John), Joan LoBalbo-Brady(the late Tom), Patricia McCauley (the late Dave), Maryann LoBalbo( Rick Robertson) and Theresa LoBalbo.Loving grandfather of 8 and great-grandfather of 10. The funeral will be held 10:30 am on Tuesday, June 7th, at St Anthony's RC Church, 110 Anchor Ave, Oceanside, NY. The burial with military honors will follow the mass at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Pinelawn, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, June 6th, from 2 pm to 4 pm and again from 7pm to 9 pm at Towers Funeral Home.
