Susan M. Mccombs

It is with great love and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Susan Mary Guihen McCombs, who left this world surrounded by family and love.

Born with a generous heart and an unwavering spirit, Susan was the true definition of warmth, kindness, and strength. She spent her life making sure those around her felt cared for—whether through her open home, sage advice, or effortless ability to make everyone feel like family. Her wisdom was unparalleled, and her love knew no bounds.

Susan is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Raymond McCombs, and their beloved children: Raymond (wife Courtney) McCombs of Chatham, NJ, Suzanne (husband Leif) Rosen of Seaford, NY and Danielle McCombs of San Francisco, CA. She was the proud and adoring grandmother of Grace and Liam McCombs, Kaylee, Cassidy, Jack, and Gavin Rosen, who brought her endless joy and love. She was also the loving sister of Catherine (husband Paul) Wright of Indialantic, FL and an Aunt to many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She will be remembered for her incredible ability to bring people together, her passion for finding the best deals at Marshalls, her love of the beach, and most of all, the deep love she shared with her family and friends.

Though Susan is no longer with us in person, the love, wisdom, and laughter she brought into the world will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to Cycle for Survival, Team Cycle for Susan, which funds rare cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center .
