Vera Ann Ryder

Vera Ann Ryder, age 94, of Oceanside, NY, died Saturday, October 15, 2016 at her home in Oceanside. Mrs. Ryder was born January 17, 1922 in Ireland. She is the daughter of the late Stephen and the late Emily (Darcy) Rice. Vera was the beloved wife of the late Patrick. She will be missed by many nieces, nephew, great-nieces and great-nephews in Ireland, England, Canada and the United States. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am, on Tuesday, October 18th at St Anthony's RC Church, 110 Anchor Ave, Oceanside, NY. The burial will immediately follow the mass at Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends wishing to pay their respects on Monday, October 17th from 2 pm-4 pm and again from 7pm-9 pm at Towers Funeral Home Inc., 2681 Long Beach Rd, Oceanside, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Vera.
