William E. Ebert, age 87, passed away peacefully on December 17th, surrounded by his loving family. He shared over 60 remarkable years of marriage with his beloved wife, Carol, a partnership filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Together, they created a home full of warmth, joy, and cherished memories.
Born in Jamaica, Queens, Bill spent most of his life in Far Rockaway, a place he proudly called home. Bill loved to fish and could spend hours on the water, a mischievous grin on his face and entertaining stories to tell. Fishing was more than a hobby; it was one of the many ways he shared joy and created lasting memories with family and friends.
Known affectionately as Big Bill, he was cherished for his quick wit, charm and humor that could light up any room. A larger-than-life character and one of a kind personality left a lasting impression on everyone who met him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol, and his three children: Carol and her husband Dave, Billy and his wife Jenny, and Jennifer and her husband Kenny. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Kristen and her husband Mike, Amanda, and Angelica, as well as his great-granddaughter Sadie.
Bill will be deeply missed, but his laughter and love will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
