William J Madden

William Madden, known affectionately to his friends & family as Bill, Billy, Dad,& Grandpa, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 24th, at the age of 58. He was born on June 19, 1957, in Brooklyn and was raised in Rockville Centre. Bill was a retired police officer (New York City Transit Police) and a member of the Oceanside Fire Department for 39 years.

Bill is survived by his longtime companion, Beverly, sons Billy (married to Cheryl), Michael, stepsons Bob (married to Roseann), David (married to Tracie), and Daniel (married to Rosella), grandchildren Danielle, James, Giovanna, and Mea, sisters Margaret (married to Anthony), Joan, and Patricia (married to Kenneth). He is preceded by his parents Helen and Edward, and his beloved Aunt Emma.

A wake for Bill will be held on Sunday at Towers Funeral Home from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at St. Agnes Cathedral in Rockville Centre at 10 PM.
