William was born on October 24, 1926. He was raised in the Bronx by his loving parents Evelyn and Fred Boos. Eventually they relocated to Island Park where he lived for over 60 years. He joined the Navy during WWII and then got a job at RCA Global Communications.
He met his beloved wife Irene, after she whistled at him while he was painting his mother’s house. They married and had two sons, Billy and Kevin. He was an amazing dad and father-in-law to Kathleen and Joanna. He endlessly supported his six grandchildren, Allison, Caitlin, William, Bryan, Aaron and Matt. He never missed a sporting event and was always their biggest fan. He was adored by his eleven great grandchildren, Ava, Shaun, Keira, Lane, Maeve, Cameron, David, Mack, Devon, Neve and James, who were the light of his life.
In his later years he lived in Long Beach surrounded by his family. His favorite thing was to take us all out to dinner. His special way to say goodbye was to sing “I love you, a bushel and a peck.” “We will love you forever, a bushel and a peck!’
