William Tansky

William Tansky, age 94, of 2878 Grand Avenue, Baldwin died Friday, January 11, 2013 at Meadowbrook Care Center of Freeport, NY. Husband of the late Rosalia (nee) Czeh. Mr. Tansky was born June 12, 1918 in Hempstead, NY. He is the son of the late Ignacy and the late Anna (Babula) Tansky. He was a professional golf Instructor and a proud member of the PGA. He is survived by his niece Karol (Harding) Schieffer, grand nieces, Susan (Schieffer) Fugate and Sharon (Schieffer) Schermerhorn. He was predeceased by his brother, Lewis Tansky of St. Petersburg, Fl and his sister, Aurelia Harding

of East Hampton, NY. He was grateful for his dear friends Bob, Mrs Wenk and her son George. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 15 at Holy Rood Cemetery, Old Country Road, Westbury, NY.
