Yadwatti Chetram

Yadwatti (Betty) Chetram, age 78 was born in Skeldon, Corentyne, Guyana. She lived in Brooklyn and most recently in Baldwin, Long Island. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 24, 2025.

A talented seamstress whom made everything from matching outfits for her children, special events, and wedding dresses as well as upholstry, pillows and curtains. She was an amazing cook and always had enough no matter who showed up. A Mom to all and always concerned for everyone's well-being, 

Yadwatti was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Survived by her 7 children; Anita, Omawatti, Sharmela, Pramela, Navin, Ravin and Lolita. Loved by her 13 grandchildren and adored by her 4 great grandchildren.

Her life was dedicated to supporting her family and they are her greatest joy. She will be remembered for being an incredibly strong and loving person who will be deeply missed by her loved ones.
